These cryptocurrency operations with their data centers and power plants contribute NO POWER TO THE GRID, provide nothing to the community other than various forms of pollution and higher prices.
And recently the prior mogul is reported to have sold the operation in Carbon County to some crypto corporation based out of Canada.

The Scrubgrass and Panther Creek power plants are also near major metropolitan areas and “major fiber lines.” The company envisions building data centers on the campuses of the power plants, which it could isolate from the grid to ferry all their power to the computers onsite. They contribute nothing, they’re not even hooked to the grid, they print “alternative facts” money, and are actively part of worldwide fraud targeting Americans.

So he’s going to be pushing to have these power plants and data centers bombarding us with air pollution, noise pollution, light pollution, and putting up water bills even further. And these companies wind up doing boondoggles with local politicians so that the people are shut out of any say in our surroundings.
